ABOUT PA ACCEPTANCE LAB

Personalized PA School Admissions Guidance, Built Around You

Applying to PA school is deeply personal. Your experiences, academic journey, patient care background, strengths, and goals are uniquely yours—and your approach to the admissions process should reflect that.

PA Acceptance Lab provides personalized, one-on-one guidance to help aspiring physician assistants (PAs) navigate the admissions process with greater clarity and confidence. Founded by practicing physician assistant Sarah Fredrickson, PA-C, our approach combines firsthand knowledge of the PA profession with thoughtful, individualized support designed around you and your goals.

Whether you're preparing years before you apply or putting the finishing touches on your CASPA application, you'll receive honest feedback, strategic guidance, and personal attention at every step.

OUR APPROACH

PA School Admissions Are Personal. Your Guidance Should Be, Too.

20-30%

of PA school applicants are accepted each cycle

The admissions process is increasingly competitive. Building a strong application takes more than checking off prerequisites or following a generic formula.

Am I competitive enough? What should I include in my personal statement? How do I make my application stand out? Am I choosing the right programs?

Many aspiring PAs ask the same questions. But the answers aren't the same for every applicant.

Your path to PA school is shaped by your academic history, patient care experience, personal experiences, strengths, challenges, and long-term goals. Advice that makes sense for one applicant may not make sense for another.

That's why PA Acceptance Lab takes an individualized approach to admissions advising.

Rather than giving you a formula to follow, Sarah takes the time to understand the full picture. Together, you'll identify your strengths, address areas that may need attention, and develop an application strategy that authentically communicates who you are and what you can bring to the PA profession.

The goal isn't to create an application that sounds like everyone else's. It's to help you present the strongest, clearest version of your own.

MEET YOUR PA SCHOOL ADVISOR

Meet Sarah Fredrickson

Practicing PA. Experienced Mentor. Your Partner in the PA School Admissions Process.

Sarah understands the PA school journey from firsthand experience.

As a board-certified and practicing Physician Assistant, she knows what it takes to prepare for PA school, navigate the application process, complete PA training, and ultimately step into the profession.

But her work with aspiring PAs goes beyond understanding the process.

Sarah brings a highly personalized approach to every applicant she works with. She takes the time to understand where you are now, where you want to go, and what may be standing between you and a stronger application.

That could mean evaluating your overall competitiveness before you apply, determining how to strengthen your experiences, helping you find the story at the heart of your personal statement, reviewing your CASPA application with a critical eye, or preparing you to communicate confidently during an interview.

Throughout the process, you can expect detailed feedback, thoughtful strategy, and honest guidance from someone who understands both the application journey and the profession you're working toward.

Sarah's commitment to future PAs extends beyond one-on-one advising. She stays actively engaged with aspiring PA students through online Pre-PA and application-cycle communities, answering questions, sharing insight, and helping applicants feel more informed as they navigate the process.

Outside of PA Acceptance Lab, Sarah is a wife and mom of four. She and her family live in the Detroit area, and when she's not working as a PA or helping future PAs navigate the admissions process, you'll often find her spending time with her family—including the four-legged member of the crew—or enjoying time together at the lake.

OUR STORY

How PA Acceptance Lab Began

PA Acceptance Lab started with a simple question: "Can you help me?"

One of Sarah's medical assistants had a dream of becoming a PA, but she was worried that her older undergraduate GPA didn't reflect the student—or future healthcare provider—she had become.

Rather than focusing on one number, Sarah looked at the bigger picture.

Together, they developed a personalized strategy for strengthening her candidacy and telling her story. They looked at her coursework and patient care experience, worked through her personal statement and application, and prepared for interviews—all with a plan built around her individual strengths, experiences, and goals.

The result?
Three PA school acceptances.

That experience became the foundation for PA Acceptance Lab.

WHY PA ACCEPTANCE LAB

A More Personal Approach to PA School Admissions

There are plenty of resources that can tell you how to apply to PA school. PA Acceptance Lab is designed for applicants who want more individualized support.

Individualized Strategy

There is no universal formula for a successful PA school application. Your advising should account for your academic history, clinical experiences, goals, timeline, strengths, and concerns. Sarah looks at your application in context so the guidance you receive is specific to you.

Thoughtful, Honest Feedback

Meaningful feedback goes beyond correcting grammar or telling you something "looks good." Sarah helps you understand what's working, where your application could be stronger, and what changes may have the greatest impact. You'll receive constructive feedback with a clear reason behind it.

Firsthand Knowledge of the PA Path

You're receiving guidance from a practicing PA who understands the profession you're pursuing. That perspective informs everything from early pre-PA planning to personal statement development, CASPA review, and interview preparation.

Your Voice Stays Yours

A strong application shouldn't sound like it was written by an admissions consultant. Sarah's role is to help you communicate your experiences more effectively—not replace your voice with hers. Your final application should still sound and feel like you.

“My role isn't to turn you into the applicant you think PA programs want. It's to help you recognize and clearly communicate the experiences, strengths, and perspective you already bring to the table.”
